MY REVIEW -------
If like me you thought the first one was edgy and action packed think again! In book two of Athena's story, there is a far bigger threat on her and her loved ones. It's a race against time to save her friends and trying to keep herself alive.
For me this one was a lot more emotional and intense I was hanging on every word. It felt like it was playing out in front of me and anticipating where it was all going and how it was going to turn out. Everything was so much more intense.
For me Athena grew so much as a character. It was kind of like a coming-of-age thing for me, like every young adult goes through, except obviously a lot more intense!! But apart from the paranormal stuff the characters deal with the root of the problems were similar. In this the bonds, friendships, relationships are stronger, deeper and more emotional and real in this. The relationship with her and Lucas just melted my heart in this, I have a feeling they will for a lot of people too. They are such strong characters and have grown so much between these two books.
I loved Athena in this she showed just how strong, loyal and passionate she was for the people she cared for. She was simply always the hero of her own story never the victim.
Adria done a great job of captivating the reader into the story, and holding interest which is a pretty hard thing to do, especially in this genre, the story developed just as much as the characters did, It was very well done and I'm interested to see what is next.

MY REVIEW. 4 STARS ****
Young Adult paranormal romance. Athena Bram's father has basically created and started this 'family' of hunters to get rid of the evil that are vampires. Athena, may just be one of the best hunters in the world. She loves it, embraces it and takes pride in it - making her father proud.
That is until complications start to rise.
Them complications coming in the form of Lucas.
A gorgeous vampire.
The second I started this book I loved Athena, she is sassy, confident and a ball of sarcasm! She is a leader. You just love her in this book straight away she is such a strong character. I loved her and her best-friend Chelsea's friendship, they complimented eachother well and even though Athena was a tough strong character she valued her friendships. Also the relationship with her and Lucas was conflicted, challenging but so darn cute!! I loved watching these two grow.
I immediately hated her father. He had no good quality he had one interest and one interest only - power. He thrived off it - nothing and no one else even mattered to him. Not even his only daughter. Not unless he benefited from it anyway. But every story needs a villain we love to hate right?
This story was fun, cute, funny and for my first Y.A. paranormal romance in a while I really enjoyed it! It kept you on edge to and your heart racing. Adria done a fantastic job with this one.
