SYNOPSIS:
Fate connects Lily with Gavin Edwards, a charmingly handsome British gentleman that has been drawn into her tangled circumstance. Gavin is everything Lily’s husband wasn’t and gives her hope that love really does exist. Gavin wants nothing more than to sweep Lily up and carry her off into the sunset, far away from the devastation left behind by her husband. Gavin has been the first breath of fresh air in her life, but she isn’t looking to be saved. She needs to clean up her husband’s mess and find a way to save herself in the process.
Does she throw caution to the wind and open her heart? Or listen to her head that tells her and go it alone until she’s found herself again?
This starts with one of the main characters in the back of a police car, being brought to the police station. So this sure starts off with promises of being an interesting story for sure!

"If I'd lived a simpler life, I'd be sitting back here thinking "How is this possible? We couldn't be in trouble with the police." But nothing about my life has been simple. I've been expecting this day since we got married 5 years ago."
The two main characters, Lily and Gavin's worlds collide and entwine because to the choices made by others in their lives. Despite coming from opposite sides of the world, their lives meshed together with so much in common amongst the messed up situation they find themselves in.
Lily! Damn this girl gets herself into some predicaments! Lily isn't always so easy to take to. She can be frustrating at times, you kind of want to scream at her but then you have to remember that she's used to a certain way of living, she has adapted to relying solely on herself so when the relationship she has with Gavin starts to develop more seriously she doesn't know how to let him in so easily. There is a lot both of them need to work out together and on their own and especially Lily. Lily takes the most difficult route when making a decision or a choice she makes things so much more complicated for herself sometimes. She certainly goes on a journey for sure, one I think she needed to experience.
"Hell. I'm a pro now at reinventing myself. But, just because I know I can do it doesn't mean that it doesn't really suck."

That sweet, oh so sexy man with his equally delicious British-ness. He was also affected by this whirlwind situation just as much as Lily and they're the only ones who can fully understand what the other is going through. Gavin is for sure one of the sweetest book boyfriends ever. He will have your heart melting along with your panties. Because as much as he is sweet he is even sexier!
"Lily, I've been thinking about doing this for weeks. Don't spoil it with talking - unless you're screaming my name, that is. I flew four thousand miles so I could finally find out how good you taste. I fully intend on completing my mission. Now lie back and prepare to have your mind blown."
There are so many elements to this story to keep you on the edge and very much interested. There are so many likable personalities which makes way for some very intriguing friendships. There are many different personalities to keep it fresh and entertaining. There is an element of Mafia/cop dynamic to iyt and I loved it! I love them kind of TV shows so I really loved how this meshed into the story and I also found myself loving characters that I maybe should be wary of but it made it so much more exciting and I can't wait to see how much that develops into the story in the next two books! Ok so the long distance relationship nearly damn killed me, I just wanted them to be together, at some stages I thought I was going to explode but when they came together it was totally worth it! so sweet and sexy as hell.
